For non-emergency call 731-536-6242 calls will forward to the Sheriff’s Deptartment after business hours or you may call Obion Co. Sheriff’s Department directly at 731-885-5832 Option #1 Dispatch.
Your call will be dispatched to the officer on duty or a county deputy.

Our Fire Department

We have 24-hour fire protection, with three classes A pumper trucks with an ISO rating of 7. Our fire department is dispatched by 911 with no delay in response time. We have 10 trained and state licensed first responders. The town also has a helipad for the AirVac Medical Helicopter to land for all emergencies deemed necessary.

It is our desire to provide the best service possible to our protection area. We could not do this without the selfless volunteers who give of their time and risk their lives to save others. We would like to thank each of them for their service and to thank their families for allowing them to pursue their passion to serve their community. If you would like to volunteer to become a member of Obion Fire Department, please go to City Hall and submit an application. We meet the Second Tuesday of each month from 6pm – 8pm.

TOWN OF OBION PARKS & REC

Parks & Recreation

Obion has three parks (Rosenthal Park, Eddie Huey Park, & Indian Park) plus a ball park. Huey Park, located next to the community center, and Indian Park, the center of town, each have a playground and pavilion. Indian Park has a .25 mile walking track. The ball park is well maintained and ready for team use or even team practice.

Taxes

We collect city property tax, state, and local sales tax and business tax in order to provide our citizens essential city services. The collection of these taxes provide police protection, fire protection, roads, and city parks as well as many other services.
